  • matt ellis

    lead pastor


    Matt is originally from southern California and has been in Denver for about 25 years. He has been the lead pastor of Hope Crossing Church since 2009, and he and his family have been deeply involved in the community since then. Matt and his wife Carrie have been married for 17 years, and they have three sons: Jonas (16), Josiah (13), and Judah (11).

    Matt loves spending time with his family on his days off, and going on various adventures with his boys.

    Random fact: He once ate iguana.

  • Niko Rolon

    Pastoral Intern and Children 's ministry director


    Niko is from St. Charles, IL, and has been in Denver since 2014. He has a bachelor’s degree in theology from Colorado Christian University, and is currently pursuing a master’s in divinity from Denver Seminary.

    Niko oversees our children’s ministry, and loves teaching kids about Jesus and His love for them. He is also our pastoral intern and occasionally preaches sermons when Matt lets him.

    Niko recently married his longtime girlfriend, Kimmy, and they are raising a kitten named Winston.

    Random fact: Although Niko grew up in Illinois, he is a huge Boston Red Sox fan.

    worship pastor


    Noah grew up in Amarillo Texas until 2016 when he followed God’s call to join YWAM Denver in Arvada,


    After attending his Discipleship Training School, Noah married his wife, Aiden, and together they

    attended The School of Worship at YWAM Denver.

    Noah’s heart as a Worship Pastor is to champion the church and help it thrive through the use of music,

    and by inviting people into God’s presence through intimate worship that changes hearts and minds. 

    Random Fact: He is ambidextrous.

  • Jennifer Sword

    office Administrator


    Jennifer is from Phoenix, AZ, and has lived in Denver with her husband Frank and their two daughters Violet (13) and Poppy (11) for the past 12 years.

    She joined the Hope Crossing team as the office administrator in 2018, and she loves the diversity, kindness, and closeness of the congregation.

    Random fact: She is trained as a chef and loves to cook.
